Laser Therapy For Alzheimer’s Disease

By Dr. Brian Harasha

Concern is growing about the increasing number of people suffering from the devastating effects of Alzheimer’s disease in our communities. This disease destroys lives, is taxing on caretakers, and has extreme financial cost averaging $350,000 during its course.

There is no medical cure for this condition and rates of new cases are climbing much faster than any of the other top 10 diseases in the US. According to the Alzheimer’s Association: “A genuinely new Alzheimer’s disease drug has not been approved since 2003, and the currently approved Alzheimer’s disease medications are ineffective in stopping or slowing the course of the disease”.

Due to the lack of medical options available, it behooves us to begin implementing “outside-the-box” therapies as early as possible to prevent or hinder the progression of this disease. Neurologists are turning to non-pharmaceutical solutions to help sufferers such as diet, lifestyle, and other therapies, including Laser Therapy.

Neurologist Dale Bredesen, MD has studied dementia for 30 years and has developed a way to test for and treat what he believes to be over 36 individual causes of Alzheimer’s. These include genetics, neuro-inflammation, nutrient and growth factor deficiency, and environmental toxins. He published his amazing results to the scientific community and in his book: The End of Alzheimer’s. His methods are easily reproducible in a Functional Medicine style of practice using individualized testing and treatments.

Research studies continue to emerge showing great success using Laser Therapy to improve several kinds of brain degeneration. Laser helps reduce inflammation, improve blood flow, oxygenation, and improve cellar function. Technology advancements in super-pulsed lasers provide the ability to reach key areas of the brain related to memory and cognition without creating heat, allowing them to be treated safely and comfortably.

Advanced Laser Therapy and Wellness has developed a 16-week program to help people prevent, halt, and even reverse the effects of dementia and Alzheimer’s. We are accepting committed and coachable clients into our program that offers exceptional support and amazing results using an online functional medicine model and in-office Laser Therapy sessions.
